Boathouse

With two restaurants at the same location, being built at the same time, it was important to distinguish Boathouse from its neighbor ChopChop. Boathouse was inspired by the Californian Grill and its laidback vibe.

The ambition was to create an unpretentious atmosphere and space for lively brunches and cheerful evenings alike. A warehouse feeling, with various chairs, tables closely fitted next to each other creates a warm, informal, and inviting space, where the guests can enjoy the incredible view of the waterfront from the long sofas.

The name “Boathouse” is reflected in the space plan where all seats are facing the fabulous waterfront. This way everyone can follow the boats and ships passing by. The overall informal decor was created with different chairs by the tables and adds to an unpretentious space. A space where it might look random but has been considered to create a relaxed atmosphere.

The rattan lamps in the ceiling, the raw stone tiles on the floor and tiles on the walls create a cozy and local warehouse atmosphere, where a long custom-made shelving system was designed to storage the restaurants wine, glasses and ingredients used in the space.
