Hotel Odeon

In collaboration with Arkitema & Barbara Bendix Becker

Located in the center of the H.C Andersen’s Odense, Hotel Odeon welcomes you with its warm and relaxed atmosphere. The high-end hotel combines international vibe with a Nordic aesthetic. Before starting the construction of the building, we participated in the design phases of the ground floor, where flow and function had to be combined with the entire aesthetic. It was essential to create a multi-purpose space tailored to its various users' needs. The result is a place where guests can relax in the sofas, while locals feel welcome and can use the spaces for meetings and work.

In close collaboration with textile designer Barbara Bendix Becker, we created a soft color palette that perfectly embodies the hotel's distinct style. Quality in craftsmanship and Danish design became an important part of the story of the hotel.

The lobby also required a breakfast service throughout high season and potentially even rented out for specific events or parties.

The result is a homogeneous and complete atmosphere, where the careful attention given to the colors, surfaces, and materials, creates a holistic experience that transcends through the lobby, the meeting rooms and the 243 inviting rooms and suites. A contemporary feeling that ensures that the design will withstand the test of time and use.

The restaurant “H.C. by Meyers” not only serves the guests at the hotel but has grown to be a popular place to drink and eat for the city’s residents and has become an established part of the local food scene in Odense.
